Produced with support from the GE Foundation, the 2008 report analyzes the latest racial/ethnic and gender trends in high school completion, college enrollment, persistence, the awarding of degrees, and the hiring of college faculty, administrators, and presidents.
This study demonstrates that college-bound high school students have strong interest in study abroad and international learning. The findings suggest that U.S. colleges and universities need to encourage student participation as well as provide opportunities for students to gain knowledge about and experiences in the wider world.
