This paper suggests using global learning outcomes to internationalize the academic disciplines. Two premises provide the paper’s foundation: (1) internationalizing the curriculum is the most important strategy institutions can use to instill the knowledge and skills students will need in a globalized world; and (2) because the disciplines provide "intellectual homes" for faculty, disciplinary associations can and should lead the way in promoting internationalization. Produced with support from the Carnegie Corporation of New York, Where Faculty Live is the second essay in ACE’s Global Learning for All series, and the product of a two-year project conducted in collaboration with four disciplinary associations.

In addition to this report, ACE also offers a series of programs on good practice in campus internationalization including: At Home in the World: Educating for Global Connections and Local Commitments; Internationalization Laboratory; Internationalization Collaborative; Leadership Network for International Education.
